The AJDS applauds the bipartisan action yesterday by the Australian Parliamentary Friends of Palestine, led by Maria Vamvakinou, Craig Laundy, Melissa Parke and Jill Hall who called for the Australian Government to formally recognise Palestine. International diplomatic pressure plays a vital role in ensuring a swift and just resolution to the conflict, which is necessary to achieve peace in the region.
