We are pleased to invite you to our Annual Dinner at Manakish, Middle-Eastern restaurant at 480A Glen Huntly Rd, Elsternwick, 7pm on the 22nd of November 2012.
The Annual Dinner is a fantastic chance for all members and supporters to catch up and talk about issues relevant to progressive Jews in an informal setting. We’re very much looking forward to seeing everyone there.
The dinner will be $40 per person – unfortunately no concessions are possible. This covers a multi-course meal including many vegetarian dishes.
This year Sarah Joseph, Director of the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law at Monash University, will be our guest speaker:
Sarah Joseph has published books on trade and human rights, human rights litigations against corporations, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and Australian constitutional law. Other research has focused on human rights issues and social media, terrorism, the United Nations, and self-determination. She has given numerous conference papers as an invited speaker around the world, and has delivered human rights training courses in numerous contexts, including to government groups from Burma, Iran, Iraq and Indonesia.

While this will be an event without set seating, if you wish to arrange tables of 6, 8, or 10 we will be happy to facilitate this.
Each guest attending should make sure they book either through the internet at http://www.trybooking.com/BZXZ or by phone. Internet bookings are strongly preferred but if you are unable to book through the internet please ring Max on 0423234069 and leave a message with your name, number of places you’re booking, your telephone number, any dietary requirements you may have and your method of payment.
